Alex Van Halen is one of the best, innovative, creative drummers to ever sit behind a set of drums. Alex’s feel, timing, and groove fit perfectly with his brother Eddie and bass player Michael Anthony. He was one of the few drummers with a massive drum kit who knew how to use it.

I read somewhere that the brothers (Eddie and Alex) started out on each other’s instruments. Alex was on guitar and Eddie on the drums, but when Eddie saw Alex play ‘Wipeout’ on the drums, Eddie switched to guitar.
