PODCAST: Joe Choroszewski (Part ONE)

Avenue Q, Finding Neverland, Promises, Promises and so much more!

In part one of my conversation with Joe, we discuss:

  • His time at the University Of North Texas.

  • Working on cruise ships.

  • Playing his first NYC production in an off-off-Broadway show.

  • Being immediately DESIGNATED on his first Broadway opportunity subbing on Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

  • The difference between being ‘designated’ and ‘approved’ as a sub.

  • Methods to contact drummers if you want to watch drummers currently playing on Broadway shows.

As a sub on Broadway, Joe has played on TWENTY TWO productions, including “The Lion King,” “The Book of Mormon,” “Wicked,” “Legally Blonde,” and “Young Frankenstein,” to name a few.

Artists he’s worked for include Mario Cantone, Countess Luann from the Real Housewives of New York City, Heather Headley, Sutton Foster, Cheyenne Jackson, and Clay Aiken.

Joe was the drummer for Avenue Q for nine and a half years Off-Broadway, played Promises Promises and Finding Neverland on Broadway. Now he is the drummer for the Radio City Christmas Spectacular!
